Types of Dual Enrollment programs

Dual Enrollment

Through our dual enrollment program, students take college courses at BHCC while they are still in high school. Dual enrollment partners include Malden High School, Chelsea High School and thirty-five other area high schools.

Early College

Students in Early College programs participate in an accelerated pathway program from high school to college, allowing them to graduate high school with up to 30 college credits. Early College high school partners include Chelsea High School, Malden High School and Charlestown High School’s C-Town Tech and C-Town Business programs.

Articulation Agreements and Curricular Alignment

BHCC shares articulation agreements with many local high schools, awarding college credit for certain advanced courses taught at high schools.

BHCC faculty in Mathematics and English are working with their colleagues in several area high schools to align high school and college curriculum, ensuring students arrive at college ready to take college-level courses.
