Bunker Hill Community College Earns Carnegie Foundation Recognition

For the second time in a row, Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) has been recognized as a Carnegie Community Engagement Campus. The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching selected BHCC as one of the 240 colleges and universities in the United States to receive the Foundation’s 2015 Community Engagement Classification. BHCC received the honor initially in 2008.

Bunker Hill Community College Student Will Attend MIT with Full Scholarship

A 2014 graduate of Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) won acceptance, along with a full scholarship, to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for the spring semester 2015. Quan Nguyen, the first in his family to attend college, plans to major in chemical-biological engineering and minor in biomedical and materials science.

Ice-T Finds Warm Welcome at Bunker Hill Community College

Grammy Award-winning artist Ice-T spoke as part of Bunker Hill Community College’s Compelling Conversations speaker series on February 26, delivering a lively talk that drew laughs and applause from an overflow audience. Before his presentation, Ice-T enjoyed a lunch prepared by Culinary Arts students and interacted with students in two Learning Community Seminars, “Connecting to Your Inner Orange Line: Next Stop, Community College” and “Do the Right Thing.”
