Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) has received a $30,960 continuation grant from the Massachusetts Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative (MAICEI). BHCC was one of only 12 Massachusetts institutions of public higher education to receive an award.

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) welcomes two new members of the Board of Trustees, David Chang Tai-Wai and Stephen Chan, as well as a new student trustee, Loretta Esibi.

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) welcomed new faculty and staff members at the College’s annual Convocation event, held on Thursday, September 2. During the event, BHCC faculty and staff members gathered together to kick off the 2016-2017 academic year, welcome new faculty and staff and engage in the early stages of planning for “the year of the engaged campus.”

Exchange students arrived at Bunker Hill Community College, one of 14 colleges across 11 states, to participate in the 2016-2017 Community College Initiative (CCI) Program. A program of the U.S. State Department, the CCI Program provides participants with quality education at U.S. community colleges and is designed to build technical skills, enhance leadership capabilities and strengthen their English language proficiency.

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) has received a $1.7 million grant from the United States Department of Education’s Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) program, created to expand the capacity of educational institutions to serve these populations as well as low-income individuals. The funds, to be awarded over five years, will impact the College’s large and growing population of Asian American and low-income English language learners.

President Eddinger and Bunker Hill Community College were honored at the White House on September 30, when President Obama named Eddinger one of the nation’s eleven “Champions of Change for College Opportunity.”
