BPS Valedictorians Choose BHCC

Mayor Martin J. Walsh, Boston School Committee Chairperson Michael Loconto and Boston Public Schools (BPS) Superintendent Tommy Chang honored 36 valedictorians of BPS at the 20th Annual BPS Valedictorians Luncheon at the Boston Harbor Hotel on Tuesday, May 29. The luncheon acknowledged BPS valedictorians for their accomplishments. Among the 36 valedictorians, three have decided to attend Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) as their next destination in their educational careers.

Vince Vila of Brighton attended Community Academy. He will be the first in his family to attend college when he enters BHCC. Kaysia Robert of Dorchester completed Greater Egleston Community High School in three years; she plans to attend BHCC. Maryssa Liao of Dorchester is a scholar, athlete and artist from McKinley Preparatory High School and plans to attend BHCC this fall.
