International F-1 students whose first language is not English are required to submit proof of English proficiency with their applications. A list of accepted exams and other ways to satisfy the proficiency requirement can be found on the International Center website.
Applicants who do not already have a way to satisfy the language proficiency requirement can take the Accuplacer English test. The test is free of charge.
Please note, the Accuplacer English score is not used as your course placement. Once admitted to BHCC, international students will need to take the Guided Self-Placement Survey to select an English course.
