Unemployed? Get FREE Training for your Career

To be eligible for this free training opportunity, participants must be unemployed, underemployed, working fewer then 20 hours per week and/or meet the federal poverty guidelines. Also, participants who are new to the workforce such as; right out of high school, never been in the workforce and new immigrants who are able to work in the US, can apply.

Program Benefits

Students will receive free tuition* including books, fees and materials for the spring term, with career coaching, work experience, job placement, job support, and travel vouchers.

Students must meet income requirements, specific program requirements, and be able to commit fulltime.

Programs

Pharmacy Technician

Training ObjectivesFormatCertification Testing/Credentials
Prepares students to work in teams supervised by a pharmacist to prepare prescriptions and provide inventory control, record keeping and drug packaging. Students learn Pharmacy Operations, Pharmaceutical Calculations, Pharmacology and Pharmacy Law. 4 courses, 16 credits - classroom, lab, clinical instruction National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam, to be registered as a Pharmacy Technician in Massachusetts

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Training ObjectivesFormatCertification Testing/Credentials
Introduction to emergency care; the well-being of the EMT; medical, legal and ethical issues; anatomy and physiology; pathophysiology; patient history and assessment; vital signs; Health Care Provider CPR and operation of the Semi-Automatic External Defibrillator (SAED); airway management and assessing emergency scenes; basic pharmacology; management/treatment of respiratory, cardiovascular and diabetic emergencies. 7-credit course - classroom, lab, internship Massachusetts State Practical Exam, National Registry EMT Basic Written Exam (NREMT) to become certified as an EMT at the Basic level.

Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA)

Prepares students to support nursing staff in hospitals, long-term care facilities and rehabilitation clinics by providing basic care for patients (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting and oral care). 3 courses, 7-credits -- Classroom, clinical instruction American Red Cross CNA certification
