New International Student Enrollment Checklist


Complete the International Admissions Application to Bunker Hill Community College - Apply Now! 

  • Login to your BHCCAdmissions Dashboard to view your Acceptance Letter 
  • Your acceptance letter will include your student ID number, username and password for your myBHCC (SelfService) account.  
    • Accepted or waitlisted Selective Program students: Access your account to confirm your seat in the program
  • Your MyBHCC (SelfService) Account gives you access to:  
    • Plan and register for classes and live Chat with Academic Advisors.  
    • View class schedule & Program requirements 
    • BHCC Email, Unofficial copy of your transcript and view Financial Aid 

Visit Bunker Hill Email Login, to log into your BHCC Email, which is our official method of communication. Information about your courses and financial aid will be sent to your college email only. 

  • If you are overseas make sure to apply and receive your F1 visa in a reasonable amount of time to start your semester. If you are in the U.S.A. and are transferring your SEVIS records (I-20) from another institution to BHCC, make sure to request the transfer as soon as possible. If you are in the U.S.A. on another visa and are requesting a change of visa status please make sure to consult with your attorney before registering for classes before your request has been approved.
  • Arrival in Boston – We recommend that you arrive in Boston two weeks before the start of the semester to allow enough time for you to settle in.
  • Housing– Make sure to arrange for housing before departing your home country. 
  • You are expected to pay for one semester of tuition and health insurance when you arrive. Review the information about estimated costs, payment methods and deadlines


All students must complete the virtual student orientation. This orientation will take about 2 hours to complete. Visit bhcc.edu/orientation to get started. 


  • This requirement must be completed before you can register for classes. To view all placement options and register to take a math placement test, visit the Assessment Center at bhcc.edu/assessment
  • Submit official college transcript(s) from courses you may have already completed from regionally accredited colleges and universities in the United States or from countries outside of the United States. Visit Transferring Credits into BHCC webpage for more information.  
  • You will receive information about attending a group advising session to plan and register for classes. Group sessions will start in November.  If you are currently overseas you can sign up for a virtual group session
  • Selective program students will attend a mandatory program orientation and then work with an advisor to register. If unable to attend, please contact your program director or chairperson.

  • Submit Immunization forms (if required). Visit bhcc.edu/immunizations for more information.  
  • COVID-19 Protocol: All students registering for on-campus courses or coming to campus for any reason must be fully vaccinated and submit their COVID-19 vaccination card at bhcc.edu/covidvaccines. *The COVID-19 restrictions for on campus courses will be lifted for summer and fall 2023 enrollment. Learn more.  
  • Information on how to request a reasonable accommodation related to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement, as well as resources for vaccination and COVID-19 testing will also be found on the website. 
  • For information on health insurance requirements visit bhcc.edu/healthinsurance. Health insurance is required for students registered in nine or more credits. If you have comparable health insurance, complete the online waiver at gallagherstudent.com/students
  • To purchase your books and other supplies for your classes online at bhcc.edu/bookstore
