Sports at BHCC
Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA)
Bunker Hill Community College offers a variety of athletic and fitness programming ranging from team sports, intramural and fitness activities. Our teams compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
BHCC is committed to providing equitable opportunities for men and women. Regular reviews ensure continued equitable athletic opportunities. Comparable uniforms, equipment and coaching staffs are examples of this effort. Any differences in expenditures are the result of a number of factors including roster size, required equipment, length of schedule, and post season play. Expenditures may also fluctuate from year to year based on uniform purchases that are made on a rotating basis every few years, variations in home-and–away schedules, post season* success and other factors.
*Our Men’s Soccer team advanced through post season play to the National Championship Game finishing 2nd in the nation. Our Men’s Basketball Team advanced through post season play to the National Tournament and finished 8th in the nation.
Prospective students, their families, and the public can view the EADA reports for participating schools on the U.S. Department of Education's Equity in Athletics Data Analysis website.

The basic requirements are:
- High school transcript
- Full-time enrollment during the semester(s) of the sport season
- A current physical exam clearing the student to play sports
- A tryout period will be scheduled by the coach(s)
Further requirements differ if the student has attended other colleges, played that sport at a college, and GPA/number of credits obtained at other colleges. Who should a current student-athlete contact with questions regarding continuing participation?
With regards to continuing athletic participation on the team, the student-athlete should be in contact with their coach. Only coaches make decisions on playing time. When it comes to questions of academic eligibility, the coach or Anthony Price can be contacted.
