Since its founding in 1973, Bunker Hill Community College has grown to become an institution recognized worldwide for its innovative approach to learning. Through its associate degree and certificate programs, Bunker Hill Community College offers more than 14,000 day, evening, weekend and online students exposure to a comprehensive educational environment. BHCC combines classroom experience, individualized and independent study, and prior learning experience with the support of a dedicated faculty and staff and a complementary array of student services.

BHCC is a multi-campus urban institution. The Charlestown Campus is situated on 42 acres in the historic Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The campus is within sight of the famed Bunker Hill Monument and the permanent berth of the U.S.S. Constitution. The Charlestown Campus is located on the MBTA’s Orange Line at the Community College station.

Chelsea Campus

Providing higher education and job training opportunities to residents of Chelsea, Revere, Everett, East Boston, Winthrop and other surrounding communities, the BHCC Chelsea Campus is actively involved in the community through partnerships with community based organizations, social service organizations, Chambers of Commerce, the City of Chelsea and the Chelsea Public Schools.

Several MBTA bus lines as well as the MBTA commuter rail stop within a few blocks of the campus, making it easily accessible by public transportation. The College also provides free shuttle service between the Charlestown and Chelsea Campuses. Approximately 30 designated student parking spaces are also available.

Instructional Centers

Bunker Hill Community College offers courses at Malden and several instructional site locations in many Greater Boston communities. The curricula available at these locations may include foundation courses that fulfill general education requirements for degrees and certificates as well as courses in response to community interest, such as offerings in business, allied health and computer technology.

Placement testing, advising and registration for courses offered at instructional sites are available at both the Charlestown and Chelsea Campuses. See Instructional Centers.
