Bunker Hill Community College Earns Communications Honors

The Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) recognized Bunker Hill Community College for two communications projects in the international organization’s annual regional competition. The College’s bi-annual publication BHCC Magazine earned two honorable mentions, for Magazine Writing and for the Magazine Overall. A poster titled “Young, Gifted and Black” promoting the Black History Month exhibit in the BHCC Art Gallery, took a Bronze Award.
CASE is an international professional association serving educational institutions and the advancement professionals who work on their behalf in alumni relations, communications, development and marketing. The organization’s awards recognize and celebrate outstanding communications efforts by both two- and four-year colleges and universities. The Bunker Hill Community College magazine has taken honors in past CASE regional competitions, earning a Gold Award for the Magazine Overall and a Silver Award for Magazine Design in 2009.
The CASE award is a second major honor for the College’s Black History Month poster, which earned a Gold Award from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) in October. NCMPR represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges throughout the United States.
