BHCC News for April, 2018

On March 22, 2018, Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) faculty and staff gathered for Spring 2018 Professional Development Day to reflect on, share and deepen their approach to teaching and supporting all students. Hosted by the Professional Development Day Committee, the English as a Second Language Department and the Building the Framework for Success Taskforce, the conference was a continuation of the Fall 2017 Professional Development Day on best practices for teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) Engineering Transfer student Danial Haei Najafabadi was awarded first place in the Physics category for his oral presentation at the 2018 Emerging Researchers National (ERN) Conference in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

On Wednesday, April 18, 2018, two Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) students were honored at a ceremony hosted by the Massachusetts Community College Executive Office (MCCEO), celebrating 34 of the highest academic achievers of the Commonwealth’s community college system.

BHCC President Pam Eddinger will appear on WHDH-TV’s (Channel 7, Boston) public affairs program, “Higher Ground.” President Eddinger, along with The Boston Foundation's Elizabeth Pauley, joins host Carmen Fields to discuss the Boston Foundation report from April 11, 2018, on college graduation rates of Boston Public School students—and efforts and success in improving the numbers.
