Annual awards recognize movement makers in Greater Boston
Bunker Hill Community College President Pam Y. Eddinger was honored as one of the Boston Business Journal’s Power 50, an annual honor given to individuals working not only for change but who are leading change-oriented movements in the Greater Boston area.
Altruism and a drive toward a more diverse and inclusive region are again central to the Business Journal’s Power 50 list. They are as likely to be people who’ve started small companies that are making an outsized difference in their communities as they are to be executives at larger companies or CEOs.
Eddinger and her fellow Power 50 honorees were recognized by the Boston Business Journal at a reception and dinner in Boston’s Seaport district. This year’s honorees include Michele Caldeira, Co-Founder of Uncornered Boston, Michael Curry, President and CEO of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, and Segun Idowu, the City of Boston’s chief of economic opportunity and inclusion.
“It is both humbling and gratifying to be included in the company of such a diverse group of leaders and changemakers,” said Eddinger. “Our work at Bunker Hill Community College is enlarged and amplified by the innovative work of so many others, whether those contributions come in education, in the areas of social and economic justice, or in business and industry. I’m grateful to the Boston Business Journal for this recognition and I salute my fellow honorees.”
