BHCC Student Javkhlan Batsaikhan Named to All-USA Academic Team

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) student Javkhlan “Jay” Batsaikhan has been selected as one of 20 college students named to the prestigious 2025 All-USA Academic Team. Selected from nearly 2,100 nominees, Jay will receive a $5,000 scholarship.

Javkhlan_BatsaikhanJay is a Student Trustee of the BHCC Student Government Association (SGA). She is an international student from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, studying Psychology at BHCC. Jay is recognized for her academic achievements, involvement in campus and community activities, and overall leadership. In April, she will be honored at the American Association of Community Colleges’ (AACC) annual convention in Nashville.

"The All-USA program is a prestigious recognition of a student's exceptional abilities both in and outside of the classroom,” Amanda Karpinski-Gorman, Interim Director of the Phi Theta Kappa Foundation, said. “These students are selected for their resilience, creativity, and ingenuity in tackling global and local challenges. We are incredibly proud of the individuals named to the 2025 team and eagerly anticipate the continued impact they will make."

The All-USA program is one of the nation’s top academic honors for students pursuing an associate degree. Each institution may nominate two students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and citizenship. The program also recognizes students who use their community college experience to better themselves, enhance their schools, and positively impact their communities.
