Students Attend Museum of Science’s first Women & Girls in STEM Networking Evening

On Friday, November 4, 11 students from BHCC attended the Museum of Science’s first Women and Girls in STEM Networking Evening, sponsored by Akamai.

The evening began with students listening to a six-woman panel of STEM professionals facilitated by Kara Miller from Public Radio International and WGBH. The panel was followed by networking round table discussions designed to encourage personal, meaningful interactions between the college students and 50 top female STEM professionals. Participants rotated tables to allow for conversations with professionals from various STEM fields.

Eight colleges and more than 100 students were in attendance from the greater Boston area. The students attending from BHCC were: Adrian Emery, Alena Lokhmanenko, Bridget Benner, Bruna Castro, Darla Earl, Kyoko Coren-Hawkins, Maria Ivanova, Marlecka Men, Monica Roberson, Rhyan Sullivan, and Sara Hamadani.
