Employing more than 35 BHCC students a year, Jumpstart provides BHCC students with an opportunity for sustained engagement. Geared towards Early Childhood Education and Education majors, but open to all who want to work with children, Jumpstart is an excellent program!

Jumpstart recruits and trains college students to deliver a literacy-rich curriculum to low-income preschoolers for a full academic year. Corps members commit to 200 or 300 hours of service, where they’ll serve children directly, receive high-quality trainings, and work closely with a team of peers. Jumpstart is a great way to build up your resume! Jumpstart Corps members develop professional skills including team collaboration, time management, and leadership.
