Honor Students In Action!

Community Engagement Honor Projects

We all know that we learn best by doing and interacting with others. Here’s the chance for students in the Commonwealth Honors Program to volunteer and work on completing one of the three required honors projects for graduating with honors. You’ll not only get the opportunity to serve the greater Boston community, but you’ll teach and mentor young kids; inspiring them to pursue their academic and personal goals.

Honor Students in Action Projects allow BHCC students the opportunity to volunteer 30 hours with a local community-based organization. As students work towards completing 30 hours, students write 3 small reflections and submit a 5-page capstone paper after the completion of service. To get started, please contact Evelyn Gonzalez at evelyn.gonzalez@bhcc.edu to be placed with a community-based organization.
