Teaching and Learning for Faculty
Our faculty development programs enhance teaching practices, inspire classroom innovation, promote reflective practice, and foster faculty collaboration across disciplines.
Onboarding
The Center organizes the Welcome & Orientation event and the New Faculty Community of Practice to support new faculty in smoothly transitioning to BHCC. The offerings provide opportunities to grow as educators, share experiences, discuss recent scholarship, and address common challenges. The sessions focus on teaching, learning, and assessment; supporting student development and success; and college service and community engagement.
Professional development for Staff
The Center provides opportunities that enhance professional skills, foster leadership, and promote well-being for all staff with sessions on communication, teamwork, digital literacy; work-life balance; and career pathway and mentorship initiatives.
Universal PD Resource Hub & Calendar
The Center will serve as a one-stop destination for all professional development offerings across the College, providing access to resources, recorded sessions, and recommended readings. It will also feature a Professional Development Calendar where faculty and staff can explore upcoming workshops, communities of practice, and cross-departmental events campus-wide.
